About Circle of Friends Child Development Center
Circle of Friends Child Development Center has been part of the Fairfield, CA community since 2001, welcoming children from birth through age five into safe, joyful, and enriching learning environments.
Founded by early childhood educator and Executive Director Rose Thomas, Circle of Friends began in her living room with just two children, her cousins, and has since grown into a thriving, multi-site preschool rooted in compassion, inclusion, and developmental best practices.
Today, we offer both private and state-funded early education programs, including the California State Preschool Program (CSPP) and support through the California Department of Social Services (CDSS).
Our approach is grounded in relationship-based teaching, trauma-informed care, and play-based learning, all guided by developmentally appropriate practice. We proudly reflect the rich diversity of our community and work in close partnership with families to help every child feel seen, heard, and supported.

Lead Teacher
Are you an experienced Early Childhood Educator ready to step into a leadership role?
At Circle of Friends Child Development Center, we’re looking for a confident and compassionate Lead Teacher to guide a classroom rooted in developmentally appropriate practice, inclusive teaching, and trauma-informed care.
In this role, you'll:
- Plan and lead hands-on, play-based learning experiences for children ages 0–5
- Mentor classroom staff and contribute to a culture of collaboration
- Build strong relationships with families and support children’s individual development

Teacher Assistant

Circle of Friends Child Development Center is seeking a caring and dependable Teacher Aide to support the well-being and learning of children ages 0–5.
In this role, you'll:
- Assist with daily routines, including meals, transitions, and outdoor play
- Observe and participate in hands-on, inclusive learning experiences
- Contribute to keeping the classroom environment safe, clean, and welcoming
This role is ideal for:
